We “company builders” get to enjoy the ride whilst those at home get a pre-occupied father and spouse. I think its important make rules for oneself. Leave the phone alone, carve out time. If you need to work, do so after everyone’s gone to bed…

Time with the family can be knackering but at the same time utterly distracting from the pressures of work.

Its like you said, the work will be there regardless. Your kids eventually grow up and leave.
