The multipurpose single stall bathroom idea Obama mentions was for people who felt uncomfortable sharing a bathroom, and the recommendation is coming from the LGBT community. I don’t think it’s meant to bring us back to the age of segregation, and it might be a safe place for them to use until the hostility that’s lately coming from the right blows off, which has lately emerged purely out of political motivations.

Personally, I am fine with making all bathrooms unisex overnight. It’s more convenient and frankly it wouldn’t bother me in the least bit. However, I know others wouldn’t be.
