The Strength In Weakness

I don’t need you to be strong
I don’t need you to pretend all is fine
I don’t need you to make me believe your world is perfect
You have no need to prove that point
Even within the depth in your eyes
The manifestation of your broken heart
The unsureness of your inner child
I see sparkles of hope
From the cracks of self doubt
You drank of the spring of bravery
Clobbered by claws of fate
And yet you still stand
In the storms of uncertainty
You dwelt with peace
Why then should you be sensitive
To the rays of external judgement
No! Your not weak because you’re broken
You are not defeated because you’re down
You are not lost for searching
Embrace your state
Live in the moment
Don’t hide from it
Let the rivulets flow without shyness
Feel the earth wettened by it’s splash of candor
Let your feet romance it’s nakedness
Forgive your sinking heart
Accept your brokenness
But just when they are sure you are defeated
Stagger to your feet
Look them in the eyes
And say, “try me one more time.”
