Shattered but still in place
I watched as your feet dance. You seem to know your way around. I watched as you adjust your stance. I felt a tremble in the ground. You have the power to move mountains while I’m the useless coin in Trevi Fountain. I’ve never been to Rome but I know that I must do what the Romans do. What I don’t know is, what I’d do without you.
I once read somewhere that beautiful people don’t just happen. So when I saw you, I desperately wanted to know who broke you. Because there is nothing I want more than to listen to your silence; so deafening that if I put my head on your chest, I can hear all the words you never said, all the smiles you never carved and all the tears you never shed.
