Awesome piece. It’s always fascinating when the rubber of marketing hits the road of the real world. I’d only amend it with a note that there’s no reason why A/B testing would be limited to the digital realm. In fact, Hillary Clinton is widely acknowledged to A/B test her policy positions. Over the short term, this can be seen as a measured and refined approach, accommodating political growth. Over the long term though it’s seen as being unprincipled and populist. In great part that’s what currently ails her campaign. I’d be interested in a broad analysis A/B testing the impact of A/B testing itself across different timeframes and frequencies…
