How to preserve UVs when using Decimate modifier?

Many of us use the “Decimate” modifier when we want to decrease the polygon count of our high-poly model. Unfortunately, “Collapse” and “Un-Subdivide” methods mess up the UVs that we might have created earlier. To utilize the “Decimate” modifier without it disrupting the UVs we created, we can switch to the “Planar” method and set the “Delimit” method to “UV” so that Blender takes our seams into account when removing vertices.
