Lily Allen: Finding Happiness

Curious and desperate. That’s way too simple to describe this beautiful talented girl who was always just looking for attention, like every kid at certain age does.

She was born related to the show business so couldn’t help get involved in it every possible way. Acting in TV series, meeting famous British comedians and musicians as a child — that’s all about Lily.

Perhaps, Allen could have been expelled from a few more schools for drinking and smoking, and could have ended up far away from where she’s now, if she hadn’t got noticed singing Oasis’ “Wonderwall” by her music teacher who immediately started mentoring young Lily. Riot school kid finally got an attention.

Needless to say, the first Allen’s record immediately made her famous and lifted her ambitions to the whole next level. “Alright, Still” and “It’s Not Me, It’s You” formed a new trend in British pop music; both Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse made a revolution in the people’s perception of the emotional performance as an advantage over the amazing vocal skills or irresistible appearance.

That was time when young Lily together with her boyfriend — Chemical Brothers’ Ed Simons — announced they were expecting a child. Though, Allen was not perfectly ready for being a mother then, with drunk public appearances and no idea what kind of star she had grown up into. Her miscarriage in 2008 led her to a great redefining of values.

However, spending three weeks in a psychiatric clinic and breaking up with Simons helped her realize what it is to be a mature. Taking musical hiatus after the second record, Lily focused on entrepreneurship and relationship with her new boyfriend Sam Cooper.

The thing that has shaken her confidence in ever being happy was experiencing serious complications during her second pregnancy, what eventually caused Lily to suffer a stillbirth six months into the pregnancy. During child-bearing Allen and Cooper got engaged; the tragedy did not make them doubt in one another.

Getting married later and having two daughters in late 2011 and 2013 adopted a solid white stripe in their lives, and made her get back to work on a third record. Moreover, after releasing “Sheezus” in 2014 Lily Allen was reported to be continuously working on a fourth studio album that is to be released later.
At the same time, Lily Allen told she was not sure if her fourth record isn’t going to be the last one. That proves that Lily needs the music in portions, she would not let one thing to be her only occupation in life.

In the end, Lily Allen has proved to herself and to the world that no matter what you do, stay happy — whether it’s getting drunk every day of the week, giving birth to a child, or ending up the music career to become an astronaut.
