This, I believe, is the first of your writing I have seen. You write well. And I agree with your points, especially the part about some writers get repetitious in their content.
I once commented to a friend who wasn’t seeing the writing she was doing as making her a writer. There are so many kinds of writing: journals, poetry, story telling, documentary, novels, graphic novels, and more. Too many have set the goal of publishing every day. Rather than publishing every day, I would encourage them to write every day and construct a more polished work.
What I think many writers on Medium would benefit from is editing. A lot of what I read contains some obvious spelling, grammar and punctuation issues. If the writer would just have reread what they wrote before publishing, they would have caught them. So I might classify them as writing a journal. They don’t deserve my time to read their work since they can’t take the time to be clear in their writing.
