I definitely relate to this post. It’s hard for me to ask for help. At times, it feels like I’m on a distant island in the middle of a different universe. Maybe I’ve just gotten use to having bridges burn before me.

As much as I would have enjoyed to actually complete the challenge, I’m content with at least coming to this conclusion. I now feel more comfortable as a writer to write on my own timetable. To not worry about gaining success from a supposed formula.
I do plan on being more active on Medium.

As a Christian, I did agree with your statements on how modern Christianity is struggling with relevance. It definitely shows in the stats. I’m always open to hearing differing perspectives and I appreciate your logical approach.

I never thought about the liturgical aspect of our reactions to mass shootings. But as a churchgoer, it does make sense. We do tend to follow a pattern that becomes second nature over time.
As someone who also lives in Broward County and has gone through the public school system, i was saddened by yesterday’s shhooting. I have a little sister who’s in middle school and it sucks knowing that she could be in danger just like the kids who survived yesterday.
