West End Story: Imagineer Visits London
“Keep Calm and Carry On” seemed to be an appropriate motto for Wednesday of last week. Figuring the only time I would have to get some sightseeing under my belt would be that morning, I got into my running gear and prepared to leave my west end hotel to venture on a run/tour of the famous sights London has to offer: Buckingham Palace, The Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, etc. Unfortunately, Mother Nature was not cooperating as I walked out into a torrential downpour.
Just as I prepared to retreat back to my dry, safe hotel room, I noticed something odd — there were crowds of people walking briskly without umbrellas, runners bolting through the street in their running gear and backpacks, and even mothers pushing their strollers down the cobblestone streets as if the sun was shining brightly.
Clients I met with that day would say “that’s normal London weather for you” or “ now you got the full London experience.” Whatever it was, the display of resilience I witnessed that morning got me out of the hotel for a slightly waterlogged — yet scenic run that I won’t soon forget.
The main goal of my trip out to the U.K. was to finally meet in person the scores of happy hedge fund clients we currently service in London. Given the recent hire of our first U.K. based employee, Rob Shakhani, it was the perfect opportunity to have our annual check-ins in person and to introduce Rob to our clients with the intention of broadening and strengthening our relationships in the region.

The trip was a resounding success, giving clients the opportunity to have in person training sessions on key functionality sets available in Imagineer’s investor relations tools. In addition, Clienteer and WebVision’s new product updates were reviewed with each client, affording them the opportunity to provide critical feedback which will ensure successful implementation of these new features.
I look forward to the continued build out of our London team and the opportunity to run in the rain without a care once more.
