Which emotions do you often transmit to the people you deal with? Do you usually transfer positive or negative emotions? Emotional contagion happens unconsciously in an automatic way. While engaging with others, they pass us their moods and feelings and we infect them with ours.
Think of your relationships, are there times when you feel happier after dealing with someone in particular? And are there other times when you feel anxious, fearful, bored or in doubt?
The people we engage with along our journey on earth contaminate us with their emotions, they taint our souls and the stunning news is that we go unaware of this fact, allowing them to turn us into other versions of who we are and who we were meant to be.
Emotions are contagious, whether good or bad. Reexamine your relationships, think of the emotions you pass to the people in your circles and pay attention to the emotions people are transmitting to you. Be in charge of your own emotions, if you can’t transfer positive ones, at least don’t affect others with negativity. If you can’t extract toxic people from your life, try to increase your emotional immunity. Don’t live unaware, pay attention.
