Why — What — How?

Kaavya connections is a human connection platform.

We make community healing universally accesible by combining poetry and sound together.

To that end, we bring together monthly gatherings and create poetic and musical performance events — Journey of the Soul.

To do so, we work together with creative individuals, musicians, singers, dancers, sound healers and lovers of world poetry, literature, and music.

Going forward, we will also work with technologists, psychologists, spiritual and ancient sound healing providers to bring together our vision of making healing universally accessible.

By doing all of the above, we promote poetry, literature, and music from around the world, grow human connections, and build an amazingly diverse, open and inclusive community together.

Who we are?

Our work is possible only due to our dedicated group members and volunteers from diverse backgrounds of languages, cultures, countries, music, and arts.

This year gatherings and experiences are created by the hard work, generosity of the time, financial contributions and passion of some of the key people —

Brad Murphy, Suellen Primost, Jeremy Marais, Shiv Preet Singh, Khatachador Khatachadourian, Shashank Dabriwal, Pranjali Sirasao, Prima Virani, Divya Purohit Vyas, Ashutosh Vyas, A. J, Mahendra Ramsinghani, Jyoti Bacchani, Geraldo, Tracey Myers, Hanna Davarmanesh, Deepti Vyas, Kiran Rana, Jeanne Rana, Sadia Azmat, Shamim Keshawarz, Samia Karimi, Sanam Sulveen Alam, Masoud Rahman, Ali Tajfar, Soma Halder and Phalguni Roy.

How we are funded?

Kaavya Connections brings together monthly gatherings and shows without breaking even our costs and making any profits. We are supported financially by generous donations and personal contributions of few individuals above.

If you wish to donate to help us sustain, grow and thrive please send us your donations at http://paypal.me/imaxxs

Going forward, after 5 years, we are working to find ways to make ourselves sustainable by charging a small ticket amount to cover the costs of booking venues, content, production, marketing, sound engineering, videography, insurance, and the artist's compensation.

We are also looking for the sponsors to help us offset the basic costs of the gathering and shows.

What lies ahead?

Kaavya connections makes healing universally accessible by combining poetry and sound together with technology.

We’re very excited to have such a strong and active community of musicians, singers, dancers, sound healers, multilingual readers, and lovers of world poetry, literature, and music.

We will double down on building content, poetic and musical shows, poetry gatherings, bringing artists, multilingual readers, dancers, singers, sound healers, and connecting all of this with the technology.

We will aim for the following milestones —

  • Find sponsorship, funding and sustainable models of offsetting costs.
  • Publish a booklet of poems from Journey of the Soul events.
  • Develop digital content from the past shows and gatherings.
  • Build technology to bring healing to a larger community.
  • Develop the content — poetry scripts and musical scores.
  • Collaborate with museums and new music venues.
  • Develop the content on our website.
  • Publish the poetry bookmarks.

Looking forward to an amazing year 2019!

Wish you all a fabulous and happy new year.

Kaavya Connections.
