DAY 1 — June 27

June 27th, 2024 — 23:56 AM

Today is the official day I started my challenge to make $4000 in 20 Days.

The Main Challenge Rules

  • No income from existing or previous clients should be counted.
  • No cheating or unethical ways of earning money.
  • The method should be new (never tried before in the same way).
  • Partnerships are allowed.

Day 0

Day 0 is when I brainstormed a few solutions to implement today.

I revisited my list of experiences and past interests, coming up with five potential solutions. I didn’t spend time defining my technical skills, as they are well-known to me at this stage.

After all, you don’t change a winning team, right?

I discarded several other options for reasons I’ll explain below.

Here are some selected ideas:

  • Offering consultations to companies wishing to improve their processes or productivity.
  • Solving various business problems through practical involvement.
  • Applying for more jobs on online platforms daily and outsourcing some tasks to other qualified individuals.
  • High-ticket Affiliate Marketing: selling high-ticket digital products or services on social media platforms.
  • Creating a digital product that can be made and sold in just 20 days!

After considering each idea, I decided to focus on the top two options and dedicate half of my daily time to generating the $4,000.

The criteria for shortlisting them were:

  • Can be built/created in less than 10 days: I can’t spend 20 days creating a solution only to find myself with zero clients on Day 20 because I didn’t have time to sell it!
  • Can be sold in 10 days or less: I needed to choose effective marketing channels.
  • Requires no more than 2–3 hours of work per day: This is crucial because this challenge is not my primary source of income. I need to work on this while prioritizing my main clients.
  • Confidence in my ability to deliver high quality: This is non-negotiable.
  • Scalable/repeatable: If it doesn’t work in 20 days, I don’t want to restart from scratch. If it works, I should be able to scale it to multiply the $4,000 by at least three times in the next 40 days.

My Shortlisted Ideas

I chose to focus on:

  • Creating a digital product that can be made and sold in 20 days: I have a niche, and I know where my customers are.
  • Applying for more jobs on online platforms daily and outsourcing the tasks to other qualified individuals: I have what it takes to win jobs; I just need to spend time looking for them.

The Partnerships

I’ll detail this at a later stage, but the idea is that I cannot do everything alone. I needed someone with enough experience in areas I can’t master in 20 days.

This applies to both solutions: people to outsource jobs to, and someone with a proven track record to help me sell my digital product.

The Planning Stage

I created a short plan for my first steps.

Instead of spending hours planning, I started creating my digital product and opened a social media page to serve as the main channel for advertising it.

I didn’t divide the $4,000 over 20 days to estimate daily earnings, as this approach doesn’t work for a high amount with a new, untested method.

Instead, I plan (through a partnership) to use a combination of paid ads and organic methods on specific platforms to generate results at least five times faster.

Time is money, and if you lack time, you must spend money.

Of course, on Day 1, I also had to handle multiple tasks unrelated to this challenge.

This is enough for now,

See you in DAY 2 :)
