The Moon Catcher

by Hüseyin Yilmaz

I’m a big fan of old but gold lenses. I spent many time to experiment with M42 Lenses. I got tons of photos from Helios44M-7, S-M-C Takumar, Canon FD 50, Jupiter-11 and much more.
Every time if I use one of the old lenses I’m amazed of the high quality and mechanics.
I mean look at this beauty:
Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f2.8 Silver M42

I think my favorite M42 is the S-M-C Takumar 50mm f1.4
Very high quality and maybe because of this curious story:
Video: RADIOACTIVE! Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4 m42 japanese lens

So I’ll start with reviewing of telephoto lenses.
I would be pleased if you tell me what you think about old lenses and what kind of lenses do you have at home.

Voigtländer Vitomatic II

By the way check the attachment. Bought this Voigtländer Vitomatic II on the flea market for 20 Euros. I think they weigh maybe 800 grams. It feels right.
