Mahdi Al-Farra, actually this happens to not just Booking.com — I think this happens to many companies that uses their website as the main source of income.

Being a UX Designer myself it is a daily struggle, and shareholders / board members only want to see results which is why we A/B Test every single little thing down to colours of a box to justify why we did what we did. And strangely results tend to surprise you (like somehow majority like the “noise” over cleanliness”.
