Gear and Gear Slot Explained — Prepare for the Genesis NFT Sale #3
Gear slots allow you to add components, personalize & modify your ships. These components are called gears. Gear and Gear slots vary in sizes and types. The number, type & size of each ship’s Gear slots are fixed.
Gear and Gear Slot Type
There are 4 gear types in Imperium Empires. They are Weapon, Shield, Support and Mining.
- Weapons are Missile, Bullet and Lasers that you can equip into your ship to increase and modify your fire power.
- Shields allow you to protect your ships and decrease damage received.
- Support are gears with different utilities. It includes repair drones to repair your ships, cloaking systems to prevent you from unnecessary battle and more.
- Mining is the mining equipment. A ship can mine only with mining gear equipped.
Gear has to be equipped in gear slots with their corresponding types (e.g. Weapons Gears and only be equipped in the Weapons Gear slots). However, there is a fifth Gear slot type namely “Any” that allows you to fit in any type of Gears you want.
Gear and Gear Slot Size
The size of a Gear ranged from I to III — size I Gears are used for small ships and size III Gears are used for large ships. Remember our ship sizes range from 1–4. The Gear slot size of a ship is generally determined by the ship size.
In summary,
Gear size I is mainly used for ships with size 1–2.
Gear size II is mainly used for ships with size 3.
Gear size III is mainly used for ships with size 4.
