5 Reasons Why Nha Trang Needs To Go On Your Vietnam Vacation Itinerary
While most people jump from Hanoi to Saigon with a couple of stops in between, the majority of visitors to Vietnam forget about one of the most charming beach destinations: Nha Trang. Offshore islands, diving, sunny skies, and a gorgeous stretch of beach perfect for doing nothing on.
So why add this stop to your Vietnam vacay? Keep reading and see for yourself.
1. The Beach
6km of golden sands and warm waters lined with swaying palm trees. It’s the epitome of an idyllic beach holiday. Our favorite and most popular hangouts are the Sailing Club and the Louisiane Brewhouse. Both offer food and drinks right on the beach, chairs and umbrellas for lounging, and special events and parties.
2. The Nearby Islands
Close to Nha Trang lie a handful of islands perfect for exploring, diving, and snorkeling. A couple of the more popular islands are Hon Tre and Hon Mieu. For a truly deserted feeling, head to Whale Island (50 miles away).
3. Gorgeous Beach Resorts
Like the rest of Southeast Asia, Nha Trang offers stunning accommodations that’ll make every one of your Facebook friends green with envy. Our favorites? The Amiana Resort for it’s incredible swimming pool and beachfront location, and An Lam Ninh Van Bay Villas for it’s privacy (only 35 villas available) and beautiful sea and mountain surroundings.
4. Fresh Caught Seafood
Because of the location, Nha Trang offers an excellent selection of fresh seafood prepared in almost any possible style and fashion. For upscale beachfront dining hit up the Nha Trang Sailing Club. But for those who want their seafood simple and grilled, head to Lac Canh Restaurant, which will also give you a wonderful local experience with none of the fluff and pretension of some other restaurants.
5. It’s A Party City
Like any good resort town, Nha Trang is always up for a drink and down to party. The town that surrounds the beach is filled with bars and various drinking holes. For late nights head to Checkpoint Bar & Restaurant (open to 3AM) and Crazy Kim Bar. If you’re looking for a Full Moon Party, the Sailing Club organizes one every month.
