I tend to disagree because you need to have stability in the price for investors — especially the larger ones to come onboard.

Under your theory, no one would hold any ETH for instance, because it’s value could drop overnight by 30%.

That completely dries up the liquidity in the market and it grinds to a halt.

The reason we peg everything to the US dollar is because it tends to hold it’s value from week to week. Month to month. Year to year.

The trust that the currency will hold it’s value is the reason I can give you 1 USD and you will keep it until tomorrow to buy something.
