Cute and possible in theory. And I get it — we should protect our own. (It could be us in the GS&F position right now.) The fact of the matter is timing. We are proud of our state. We are not proud of that new logo — at the reported cost. I could read every design brief in the world, and still not like the logo. So, although I agree that we may not have been fair, it doesn’t change our ability to vocalize our personal taste in what we see. I don’t like it, not because it isn’t exactly what they were asked to design — I just don’t like the logo regardless. I love GS&F’s work usually. GS&F is in a no win situation… well… they got $47k, so they should thicken their skin and not take it personally. **But whoever decided to phase out the old logo slowly and slowly replace it with the new logo… doesn’t understand rebranding. What will happen is confusion and a long process for changing that logo that I don’t like.
