US Election hacking should be a non-partisan issue for EVERY American

That is a fact.

It doesn’t…it shouldn’t…matter what your political ideology is. It shouldn’t matter who you wanted to win — or who you wanted to lose — in the presidential election. No American should stand for any action by any foreign government that executes any action with the intent to interfere with the outcome of any US election at any level.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the election for a president, a congressman, a governor, a school board chairman, a city manager or a dog catcher.

It does not matter

Hillary Clinton suggests Russian cyberattacks against her campaign during the presidential election constitute an, “attack against our country”.

I completely agree.

She said, “This is about the integrity of our democracy and the security of our nation…”, and that it should not be a partisan issue.

I completely agree.

Congresswoman Pelosi tweeted:

I agree. Implicitly.

Senator Chuck Schumer has indicated that a non-partisan investigation into the Russian hacking should be executed.

I agree with him. And it should be carried out irrespective of the fact that the election is over.

Because this is not over.

Even though Attorney General Lynch said there was no tampering with voting machines, there should still be an investigation:

And as soon as we find out who it was, we should retaliate swiftly. The counter cyber offensive should be overwhelmingly dis-proportionate so no one ever…ever…tries it again. It doesn’t matter if you are a con, a lib, a commie or a libertarian. It doesn’t matter if it was just the DNC that was hacked, or if the RNC was also compromised.

It doesn’t matter who you thought was going to win the presidential election.

Even President Obama said this should be a non-partisan issue. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.

I agree with him.

NBC News Reports:

“The Obama administration didn’t respond more forcefully to Russian hacking before the presidential election because they didn’t want to appear to be interfering in the election and they thought that Hillary Clinton was going to win and a potential cyber war with Russia wasn’t worth it, multiple high-level government officials told NBC News.”

This can’t be right because just yesterday, the president said that we will retaliate, “…at a time and place of our own (sic) choosing.”

Because if the president didn’t think a cyber war with Russia was, “worth it”, because he thought Clinton was going to win — but he now thinks it is worth it because she lost — that’s not non-partisan. In fact, it’s down-right hypocrisy. I’ll even go so far as to say that is malfeasance. You can’t expect to lead this country into cyber warfare based on who you personally wanted to win the election.

“They thought she was going to win, so they were willing to kick the can down the road,” said one U.S official familiar with the level of Russian hacking.”

My disappointment with the actions of president Obama in this matter is only over shadowed by feelings of betrayal.

We are so weak.

It’s embarrassing.
