What problems is eth trying to actually solve?
why waste your time learning a mixture of unproven tech without any guarantees? and for projects built on top of ethereum already, what options for voting on shard capabilities — or will they be able to build/manage/deploy their own shards?
I would look for the eject button, move to a chain that works, then observe progress in eth-land and consider migrating back. sounds like projects can learn other techniques rather than be held to ransom by main chain.
Sounds like a familiar story for the older crypto folk, here’s a declaration of independence from Feb 2016, 3 years later check out what’s happened at komodo: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1372879.0
