I Chose To Be A Person Of Value

I love the angle you’re coming from, for this article Darius.

I’ve been thinking so much about happiness and joy in my life lately. I soon realised that I’m happiest when I’m useful to someone — either at work, with friends or family or a stranger!

Giving with your heart releases particular chemicals (oxytocin and serotonin) in your body that make you feel a connection with someone. When you involve other people in your happiness, you make two people happy which is always better than one!

At the end of the day, we need to be working on something that’s bigger than ourselves. When you find purpose in something bigger than you, you’ll feel more alive than anything. People count on you and look forward to being in your presence. It’s about how you make them feel.

I can’t stress enough how important it was for me to decide that I want to bring value to those around me, and help them choose their path to being their best. My days have improved dramatically, all because I choose to be a person of value.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
