Life keeps moving forward — it doesn’t care what I think or do, so I might as well not waste my time on stuff I can’t control.

How You can Slow Down Your Time

A response to Darius Foroux’s post on Principles of Life

The principle that resonated with me the most is number 7 — Life Moves in One Direction.

Life will never slow down for us. We have to keep moving forward with what we have now.

Once you realise that you just can’t have control over everything, you begin to enjoy life to the fullest. You begin to pour effort into the things that really matter to you.

The present moment

We have to remind ourselves that all we have is this present moment.

Now.

Our past is gone, it’s history.

I’m not the same person I was before.

I have thoughts now that I didn’t have before.

I have the mindset now that I didn’t have before.

I have the self-awareness that I didn’t have before.

Our future is still yet to come — it remains uncertain.

I know I have the power to create my future.

I will keep fighting for a better tomorrow.

The future will reveal itself.

All we can do is focus on the right now.

Focus

Even though life moves so fast and will never slow down for us, if we do everything with love and keep putting our heart into our actions, maybe we can slow down time.

What I mean is, when you do things with your heart, you’ll enjoy every moment.

You’ll be living in the now.

That’s when things slow down for you.

That’s when you’ll see things come together.
