Why You Should Use a Car Audio Centre to Install Your New Car Stereo

If you drive, and you love music, then you probably experience the same problem that many of us experience: poor sound quality. Factory-installed car stereos are notoriously low quality and they invariably require changing.

Some people can put up with the poor sound quality, but these are the sorts of people that can put up with people eating eggs in enclosed spaces, or who don’t mind the person sitting next to them with a nose whistle.

In other words, people who have a high irritation tolerance. That’s certainly not me, and if you’re reading this article, then my guess is that it isn’t you, either. No, if you’re reading this, it’s surely because you’re considering changing your car stereo and you’re wondering whether to do it yourself or to use a car audio centre Ilford — or wherever it is that you happen to live.

From experience, I would always recommend using a car audio centre, and here’s why:

1. The first time I tried to install a car stereo I blew the speakers.

It is so easy to damage delicate electrical equipment, and car stereo systems are no exception. If you accidentally run too much power, or you use the wrong tools, you can easily break the head unit or blow the speakers. This is going to cost you money. All that money you think you’ve saved by doing a DIY job, you end up losing anyway because you have to pay for your equipment twice.

Yes, I know that the car audio centre might break your things too, but there are a couple of things to realise here. First, they’re much less likely to break your things because it is a task that they have performed hundreds, if not thousands, of times before. They’ve learned their lessons. Second, even if they do break something, that’s not your problem. They will have to replace it for you out of their own pocket, not yours.

2. My car stereo doesn’t sound as good if I try to fit it myself.

If you’re a real audiophile who loves to listen to high quality music, you will not like fitting it yourself. There’s a high chance that you don’t really understand what you’re doing, and as such, you won’t be using the best configurations or set ups when installing your car stereo.

The car audio centre Ilford understand how to produce the right sort of sound from a particular set up. You tell them what you want — e.g. that you love rock, or bass, or you’d prefer an all-round system — and they will be able to deliver the system that will work best for your preferences.

They are the experts, so of course they will be able to do a better job than you would be able to do yourself.

3. They might throw in a freebie.

Sometimes, the car centres have things lying around that they can’t get rid of. For example, last time I had a stereo installed, they had some sound-deadening material that they couldn’t shift, and they offered to install some in my car. It’ added a lot to the sound quality and the best thing was that I didn’t have to pay for it!

As you can appreciate, I personally think that it’s always better to use a car stereo installation service than to do it yourself. If you’d like further help and advice about car stereo installation, then please visit https://www.incarmusic.co.uk/.
