Midjourney V6.5 is an active process with quality upgrades. According to previous update, it will be broken down into two releases:
- First Release: Image Quality, Substantial enhancement in overall image and pixel quality
- Second Release: Improvement in bodies, hands, and text rendering.
The model is now under active training. There may be an alpha version for testing but the release date remains unknown.

According to recent office hours, the team is working on the ControlNet and it may be released as the last feature of V6 before the launch of V6.5.
NEW Personalization Model 🎨
Get ready for a new Personalization model that will be rolling out soon.
The new personalization system allows users:
- Customizations: This update will allow users to fine-tune the AI model to match their artistic styles and preferences.
- Efficiency: The new system will enable quicker and more accurate changes.
- Versatility: Users can use multiple personalization codes for different purposes.
At present, model personalization is done by ranking pairs on the website, which then updates the model accordingly.

Model personalization allows users to fine-tune the AI model to your artistic styles and preferences with --p after your prompt
You can control the strength of the personalization effect by using --s 100 (0 is off and 1000 is maximum and 100 is default)

NEW Style Exploration Tool for sref
We all know that Midjourney has introduced a “Style Random” recently which allow us to generate images with different random sref code that gives different aesthetics every time.
Midjourney is working on making an exploration tool that will be like a big library of different art styles for users to find and use all kinds of art styles.
Progress:
- The development of this tool is currently behind schedule, but the team plans to release a simpler version for testing, with continuous refinements over time.
📆 Estimated Release: David aims to release it within a month, ensuring it is not overly complicated.
New Demographic Explorer 💫
According to the previous update, the team is considering adding a new feature called “Demographic Aesthetic or Explorer.”
What’s “Demographic Explorer/Aesthetic”?
It’s like having a magic switch that changes how things look based on who you are! Here are some ideas they have:

Upcoming Plans: The release of Niji 6.5 is yet to be confirmed.
