● The electrical cables should be positioned correctly. There shouldn’t be any kinks in cables.

● The initial 100 mm on the interface surface of the axle should be lubricated.

Installing Tachometer:

● Check if coupling attached to drive is positioned correctly.

● tachometer to be attached to drive with screws & nuts.

● torque the screws as well as nuts between 0.2 and 0.25 M.DAN.

● Put tachometer and drive in position on the mounting sleeve.

● install washers plus screws plus torque screws between 0.2 & 0.25 M.DAN.

● Remove cap — blanking while connecting the tachometer to the connector and do not twist cables.

● Be careful while installing a mounting sleeve in axle without applying force and align the mounting sleeve holes with axle holes plus the slots in the nut.

Be careful with hubcap installation and once done just hold the hubcap and install the clamp. Torque the nut and close access. Install applicable brake fan assembly and the rotating mechanism while closing access. Install applicable brake fan assembly. Test the tachometer functionally and conduct BITE TEST of EFCS and energize electrical circuits of aircraft. Ensure that the MCDU doesn’t show any message pertaining to maintenance of mechanical aircraft tachometer.
