The Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) at IIIT-Hyderabad has embarked on an exciting journey of collaboration with the Royal Academy of Engineering, setting the stage for Indian startups to conquer the UK market. This innovative partnership aims to provide a pathway for ambitious entrepreneurs to transform their engineering-based innovations into thriving businesses through the Royal Academy of Engineering’s prestigious Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) program.

The recent events held on March 5th and 6th, 2024, marked significant milestones in this collaborative effort. An exclusive networking party in Micca on March 5th brought together the dynamic teams from CIE IIITH and the LIF delegation, fostering invaluable connections and laying the groundwork for fruitful collaboration.

The pitching session on March 6th, 2024, was a highlight of the event, with each startup delivering a concise three-minute pitch to showcase their innovative solutions. The lineup of startups was impressive, ranging from David ThomasTency’s Hydrowverse to Rashi Dutt’s SmartKosh Technologies, each presenting unique ideas poised for success in the global market.

Following the pitching session, the CIE IIITH Team seized the opportunity to participate in Flutr’s inaugural session in Goa. Flutr specializes in crafting engaging experiences aimed at personal and professional growth through play, emphasizing creativity, confidence, and effective communication.

The workshop facilitated by Flutr focused on honing new skills essential for success in both social and professional spheres. Participants were encouraged to explore their fun and humorous sides while enhancing their conversational abilities — a refreshing approach to skill development that resonated with all attendees.

Overall, the collaborative effort between CIE IIITH and the Royal Academy of Engineering not only provided an enjoyable experience but also offered invaluable opportunities for skill development and networking. By participating in the LIF program, promising startups gained recognition, refined their business models, and opened doors to potentially enter the UK market — a testament to CIE’s commitment to empowering Indian startups with the resources and connections needed to thrive in the global marketplace.

Stay tuned for more updates as these innovative startups continue to make waves in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
