State Government Served Notices To The Developers Of Housing Projects In Raipur For Causing Immense Air Pollution

RAIPUR: The state government has slapped notices on city’s prominent builders for not using safeguards and masking around construction sites of housing projects in Raipur to check severe dust particles causing not only the air pollution but also severe respiratory problems ..

The dust particles arising from the construction work is causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents. The housing sector has laid down certain norms for the construction of residential projects sites with a view to conserve environment and reduce harmful effect of the air pollution on health of the residents. However , Housing Projects in Raipur it was found that these safeguards and norms are not being implemented} at the construction sites. Subsequently, notices were issued by the state government against the erring construction companies, which have failed to take the effective measures to check pollution.

The action has been initiated on the directions of chief secretary Vivek Dhand and principal secretary Aman Singh. Officials said that notices have been issued to 10 construction sites including Babylon Capital, Harshit Landmark, Singhania Buildcon, Balaji Developers, Ashok Icon, Phoenix, Moti Mahal Palladium, Crystal Tower, and Palm Bellagio asking them to reply within three days.The pollution level in Raipur is increasing at an alarming rate as compared to other towns in the state.

Raipur is the capital of mineral rich state of India. Chhatisgarh does not have much industries here except the mining and agricuture . Though the state is full of green forest and natural greens but dust pollution is not some thing that can be cured by trees and forests. It can only be checked by the control on polution . Otherwise this pollution stays in the environment and causes severe medical problems. Hopes that these measure by state government will help curb pollution and save the residents.
