New Maruti models to hit Indian markets soon. Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce four new cars in the upcoming months.According to sources, these are the upcoming new models from Maruti: The new Swift, the Ciaz facelift, the Ertiga facelift and the new WagonR.

Maruti Suzuki India Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, R S Kalsi, shared that the exact dates of new Maruti car launches haven’t been fixed yet. But he mentioned that the launches will happen in a span of one and a half years.He also added that Maruti sales have grown by 15.3% during the fiscal period of April to December 2017. The company has been able to maintain their growth, even under challenges such as demonetisation and GST implementation.Maruti Suzuki India aims to achieve even more sales figures with the introduction of models, such as the new Swift. Suzuki has spent almost around Rs 800 crore for the R&D of the new Swift

These Are the four Upcoming New Maruti Cars:

1. MARUTI SWIFT THIRD GENERATION

The new Swift is based on Suzuki’s light HEARTECT platform, which uses lightweight, high tensile steel for improved dynamics.
Power comes from the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, with 82bhp and 74bhp, respectively. The new Swift is expected to come with a 5-speed manual and an automatic gearbox.

2. NEW MARUTI WAGON R

The new WagonR will retain its ‘tall-boy’ design, while offering an entirely new exterior and interior design.The WagonR will be powered by the same 1-litre petrol engine, and will be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. LPG or CNG options might also be available.

3. NEW MARUTI ERTIGA FACELIFT

The new Ertiga too will be based on Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform, just like the new Swift. The facelifted Ertiga has been seen testing on Indian roads, a few times.The new Ertiga facelift will come with a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine, mated to a manual or AMT gearbox. The 7-seater Maruti MPV will also have updates to the interior as well.

4. NEW MARUTI CIAZ FACELIFT

The new Ciaz was first showcased at the Chengdu Motor Show 2017, held in China. The Ciaz facelift is named as Alivio in Chinese markets. Test mules of the new Maruti Ciaz have been spied on Indian roads in early 2017.The facelifted Ciaz will carry only cosmetic changes and will be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel engine.
