And The Journey Continues…

Now its the middle of 2015 and the final term of my 5th semester is going on. I have not thought of Mr. Eggie for a while. One night I had the urge to make a prototype for a game. its titled ‘ShapeMatch’ (Its actually 1 am and I have the exam in the morning )… I opened up Unity, after a while the prototype was complete (it was just 4 shapes in a circle, which can be rotated left and right, and the shapes are falling from the top.. the goal is just to match with the correct shape )… I could have shared some screenshots of the early prototype but right now I don’t have any… This game was actually a clone of another game by some guy(couldn’t get a link to that game).

Well , In the morning, after the exam I shared the prototype with some friends, the feedback was not bad. I did not work on it until the exams … after a week or two exams finished and Summer vacations started… within a week I finished working on ShapMatch, not the perfect version though but do able.

I thought If i could make a tiny game within a week, why not do #onegameaweek. I team up with my brother (he is actually in the credits of ShapeMatch as creative director).

Ideas from my brother, I started developing and again after a week, ended up with the same clone of ShapeMatch. this time the shapes are in a row on the bottom of screen which can be moved by swiping left or right and match them with the shapes falling form above randomly..

After that week I jumped on another Idea.. that incomplete too..

Then later several weeks of incomplete prototypes, I hopped back to ShapeMatch, told myself I have to finish and publish this game… Its almost the end of 2015, ShapeMatch is almost fully crafted …

Made some demos and sent to several publishers and what I got in return, nothing!… most of them didn’t even reply and those who did, said my game is not good enough.. well I knew its not good but I had to try.. then I wanted to publish it by myself but I was too obsessed with adding more and more contents which made ShapMatch pretty complicated and full of bugs. I ended up not publishing it.

Now its the end of October 2015. Left University after that 5th semester(thats 2.5 years of study) and I moved to Canada for Life.

Did not release any of my games and even stopped working on any.

Now its 2016 and ShapeMatch is kind of unextractable for my other hard-drive and I started working on another game a simple game just like ShapeMatch,

Will share more about that and this time no matter what I have to publish this..

Thanks for Reading; Have A Wonderful Night. :)
