I agree that “age” sometimes seems like a lazy way to talk about drives of behavior and attitudes.

When you narrow it down to a specific context and scope, and when you’re listening for personal reasoning, reactions, and guiding principles, it becomes much clearer. It’s doable. (It is too hard only if you don’t do the context, scope, and listening sessions. Listening sessions are described in my book, and there are example chapters on my website.)
