Let’s Cook: Doodhi-Chana

Step 1.

Oil, rai, jira and hing in pressure cooker.

Add green chili.

Step 2.

Add soaked chana daal (soaked in water for 2 hours, 1 cup) without water.

Add mirchi, haldi, dhana-jira powder and salt to daal.

Cook for 5 mins.

Step 3.

Add cut doodhi to this.

Add one large (or two small) cut tomato.

Mix well for few minutes.

Step 4.

Add half cup water. Pressure cook for two whistles.

Step 5.

Take off stove and let the pressure disappear on its own. It’s ready to eat!
