Whatsapp has finally started to roll out “Delete for everyone” feature in Android in its beta versions. This feature will empower its user base more.

Sometimes users text to the wrong group or wrong person mistakenly. We always bite our nails at that embarrassing moments. Didn’t we? WhatsApp has rescued us from being ashamed. From now on user can delete one or multiple texts, media by long pressing for all recipients. Like previously on clicking upon delete button user can now see two more options i.e “Delete for me” & “Delete for everyone”. 1st one will perform just like previous delete feature available currently in the app.

By clicking the 2nd option, all those unwanted texts, media will be automatically deleted. The recipient user shall see “This text has been deleted by the [sender name]”. So whenever you see such in your group or 1:1 chat you can understand easily. But a catch is there. What’s that? I’ll tell you that also.

WhatsApp says an user can delete a text forever within 7 minutes of sending that. After that it’s not possible. Another catch is that to avail this feature the sender’s and recipients’ devices must be to the latest version having this option. Unless it will not be deleted from all devices. Currently it is in the version 2.17.402 which I’m using.

So enjoy this feature and share your thoughts.
