Nevertheless, this statement is not necessarily true — The strength of the eyelets in our 240gsm Reinforced Poly Tarp depends on what you plan to use it for. If you plan to use it as a suspended shelter and it’s resting on poles, then the eyelets will be strong enough to handle the force.
We recommend using D-Rings if you expect to use the tarp in a tepee configuration, where poles are in the middle and the ends are anchored to the ground. Our 240gsm D-Ring Poly Tarp can accommodate most tent pegs.
