Out of curiosity, where do the androgynous girls fit into this? There have been lots of female models and street artist, Akira immediately comes to mind, who have blurred the lines of ‘gendered’ clothing for a long time now, so it seem peculiar to call it new? Is it because it’s rarer for boys to take up this style? I’d be interested to know how this differs from what we’ve seen before.
