Weight loss happens rapidly at initial stages of weight loss but at some point, it seems as though your weight won’t budge 😕

This inability to lose weight is known as a weight loss plateau or stall, and it can be quite frustrating and discouraging.

However, these 6 tips can help you get back on track 🤩

1. Cut Back on Calories — As you know, weight loss happens when you eat fewer calories than you burn.

But, as you lose fat and become leaner, your calorie needs also decrease, and then you need to make adjustments.

So, if you’re starting calorie intake was 2000 calories, you’d reduce this by 125–250 calories. Cut calories from carbs or fat only.

2. Track Everything You Eat — Keeping a track of your daily calories is very important or otherwise, you will end up eating more.

Sometimes, it may seem as though you’re not eating that much, yet you still have difficulty losing weight.

Mostly, people have a tendency to underestimate the amount of food they eat. So make sure, you’re tracking it.

3. Try Intermittent Fasting — IMF is one of the best diets for weight loss. It drastically reduces the intake of overall calories per day which results in weight loss.

If you are stuck, intermittent fasting may help you get back on track.

4. Be as active as possible — If you are not doing any physical activity, it’s time to start one now. And if you already workout, increase your training time or add cardio.

It will help you burn more calories.

5. Work on your metabolism — I’ve discussed this in my previous post also. When you eat lesser food for a certain period of time, your body metabolic rate drops down which means fewer calories burned over time.

To revive up your metabolism, eat more protein foods, workout, and indulge in to build strength.

6. Take 3–4 weeks break from your diet — Sometimes when you diet for a long time, body kinda gets used to it and stop responding. This is just my observation

If points mentioned above can’t help you get back on track then maybe it’s time to stop dieting for a while. Raise calories up to maintenance and just focus on your training, while striving to find some normalcy 😊
