Yesterday was Women’s Day so, what better moment to write about Madame Bovary? Definitely; a book every feminist and passionate about revoutionary literature should read.

With this novel, the fantastic writer Gustave Flaubert break with all the moral and literacy conventions from the eighteenth-century bourgeoisie.

Through this novel, the author give life to Emma Bovary, a woman unhappily married whose dreams collide constantly with the reality. A revolutionary woman who will break with the established and immutable ideals to which women in their time were subjected. During the relate, Emma will always act in accordance with her passions; she will follow her heart and fight tirelessly to reach her own happiness.

Madame Bovary is considered unanimously as one of the best novels of all times; a novel that broke with the prototype of idealized woman created by romanticism movement; denying her freedom and right to passion.
