#DNF, Sanctury of Shulpaneshwar, Vishal Khadi
This time it was in #VishalKhadi organized by The The Cycling Club of Baroda, It was fantastic route having superb scenery as well as good climbing and rolling terrain; only in some section road condition was not good due to rain. My journey in this BRM was some #weird from beginning only, and that weirdness started from the night just before BRM, as I left from home towards Railway station at 11.30 in night as train timing was 2.00 in the morning, got puncture within some kilometers, tried to fix from my puncture kit, but as patches were old and not sticking properly, was not able to fix that, messaged in group about this incidence, and as luck was working little bit (:D ), got message from fellow members about auto garage which may be open at this time, also got help from Milind Nene sir as he suggested to collect spare tube from his home in #Baroda, after all this, with the help of rickshaw guy, searched for garage nearby railway station, but due to rain, all shops were closed, which generally stay open, then tried to find out another garage shop, finally at 1 am in morning find out one in dark lane but it was closed, but there was his mobile number mentioned over shop hoarding, called and woke up that guy, after hearing about BRM he agreed for puncture making, which was like #blessing for me at 1.30 in night, boarded on train at 2 am, as cycle was with me only, as there was risk in luggage department ( it might get some scratch or some part might get damaged because of other luggage), hardly could sleep for 1 hour, reached Baroda at 4.30 am, reporting time was at 5.15 am, collected tube from Milind Nene sir from his home, when I reached starting point, it was great to see so many riders (that means in any way you will be having a company during ride, ;):D), rides started from 6 am for 200 and 300, there was little bit cross wind along with rain after few kilometers, from #Baroda to #Kayavarohan it was good road, after that from #Kayavarohan to #Rajpipla road conditions were little bit bad, from half way got company of Jagruti Kumari Rathore mam, which was much helpful in maintaining speed above 25, reached #Rajpipla and started to get cramp just before mountains started, had some water and #alooparatha from Jagruti Kumari Rathore Mam (it was awesome !!! yummy) started climb, from here my speed was not much and others went ahead, after nearby 5 hours and 30 minutes, reached first check point at 106 km near #movi village, had food and left with Jagruti Kumari Rathore, Inder Brar and Jitesh Sheth, reached till #Dediyapada, here again road was somewhat in bad condition, then at 2.40 in afternoon reached #Netrang which was unmanned control point, take out ATM slip and immediately return from there, no rest there, slowly slowly was moving towards #Dediyapada and got puncture, and when stopped to make that, I realized that handle of my air pump was dropped somewhere in between (I was carrying big pump), was waiting for some rider to come, (in that time also had one thought to walk till #dediyapada as it was only 7 km far from there) finally saw Inder Brar and he helped me to install new tube was given by Milind Nene sir in the morning (thank you sir for that :) ), but from hand pump was not able to pump required air in tires, still continue, crossed #Dediyapada and in between got car of Divyajeet Singh Rathore sir who was #great #marshal of ride, got pump and filled required air, continue till #movi, there cleared doubt about remaining climbing distance, got information that now only 15–20 km is remaining and then it will be downhill and then after #Rajpipla its somewhat flat route, but till that full body was drained and often getting cramp all over body while climbing, still continue, in some climbs have to come down from cycle and walk, till that evening was getting over and darkness started, now there was last climb but now only getting many cramps in stomach and also started to getting dizzy, and finally decided to quit at 210 Km, got positive thoughts from Jarul Vora and Ravi Ramchandani, but was knowing that in that situation, was not able to move much and in that long downhill might get fall which was more danger, so with tail light on slept on side of the road, in short time Divyajeet Singh Rathore sir came with car and in first place they thought I got hit by some vehicle as I was lying on road and cycle was also fallen aside, they rushed immediately, but cleared situation, and they helped to put the cycle on stand behind car, i had some water and got sleep immediately, they woke me up in #Rajpipla for food, had rice and Daal, as not wanted to take anything heavy in food, then again slept in car (:D ) as was completly drained and all body was having pain, in last they drop me near Railway station nearby 1.00 am as was having train at 5.45 in the morning.
During this BRM, all the scenarry were superb due to rain and as it was in #Shulpaneshwar #Sanctuary. I realized about my some mistakes which lead to my DNF, that taught me many things, #Mistakes were;
1) I did not checked my spare tube at the time of leaving as it was already punctured tube.
2) Had not enough sleep
3) Did not carry extra food
4) Taken rajpipla route in very easy manner
5) After Surat 300 BRM in May, 2017, had not done any ride more than 30 KM
6) Had not invested good amount in lights and pump, so result of that have to carry big pump as well as low lumens light, which made more difficult to ride in night, though was having many extra cells; but its more difficult to change them frequently.
Need to work on this as soon as possible.
Thank you so much, for reading till this :D
Thank you so much Jagruti Kumari Rathore mam and Raghvendrasinh Jhala sir for your valuable guidance about Practice and food
thank you so much all fellow members who supported me at every point for this BRM, (scenic beauty photos were taken by some fellow riders not by me). #BRM #DNF #Endurance #tragedy #improvethegame #infiity #friendsforlife
