Electric Skateboard — Generation x of other Transportation?
Electric Skateboard — The Next Generation of other Transportation?
2 yrs ago I saw something on the web that absolutely changed my entire life!
A relevant video about electric skateboards. Ever since then I’ve had no less than 3 different boards, which can be just as much a tribute to how much I enjoy these babies. But unfortunately since it is on their biggest weakness, they break easily. However i still keep purchasing a new one or buying parts to the original copies.
“The electric skateboard was created by Californian Louis Finkle. Louis made the first analogue electric skateboard in 1993. It then took seven years to make it to production, and thirteen years later it has yet to arrive at the tipping point where we currently stand on the verge of mass availability of electric skateboards”.
So what is delicious of a electric skateboard?
They’re extremely fast. We’re talking 20–25 mph plus more. Beware!!!
Besides being fast, it’s incredible FUN!!!
As an alternative to going for a car in short trips, Now i glide my approach to the newspaper stand and back.
It feels as though you’re flying extremely low. When you zoom surrounding you tend to anticipate (obviously), meaning you don’t ever call at your feet. It somehow feels as though your gliding 6 inches off the pavement.
The number is also quite decent. The furthest I obtained would have been a 14 mile ride. After wards it needed a full replenish.
You control the board having a pistol grip controller that controls the acceleration and regenerative braking. It’s pretty an easy task to ride a electric skateboard even though you have not ridden a skateboard before. To my opinion, there’s a lot easier than the usual regular skateboard while you also have each of your feet for the deck.
The only drawbacks in the electric skateboard are that they can break fairly easily and go slowly up hills. The company I would recommend, E-Glide, has a good warranty. Ninety day warranty for the board and electronics. Six month battery warranty.
There are two companies who make these boards: Altered, formerly referred to as Exkate, and E-Glide. Altered boards have a cool wireless controller, nevertheless the boards come in China along with the support is not best.
E-Glide, on the other hand are extremely dedicated and care what they’re selling. They focus on only using top of the range components to construct their electric skateboards. Furthermore they are the only electric skateboard company who doesn’t import premade powerboards from China.
Personally, i ride the E-Glide “44 Magnum” a Madrid board produced by Crossbow USA. A great deal of concave, and exquisite lines. At 44 inches in length, it is just a Ferrari among electric skateboards.
Until someone invents the Hoverboard, these babies are it!!! electric skateboard
