About Ducati streetfighter V4

Ducati has finally unveiled the Streetfighter V4, which has been a long time coming. The Streetfighter V4 is essentially the naked brother of the insane Panigale V4, which is currently the benchmark of the superbike segment. In a new league of hyper-naked motorcycles, the Streetfighter V4 joins the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro and the recently unveiled Kawasaki Z H2. Let’s take a closer look at this new Italian sensation.

The heart-stealing heart-stealing design

It certainly appears intimidating, doesn’t it? The Streetfighter takes a minimalist approach to design, with the majority of the motorcycle’s mass consisting of that engine and other mechanical components surrounding it left exposed in all their glory. The tank is nicely sculpture and it receives some muscular tank extensions. The low-set twin projector LED headlights to appear menacing, and the LED DRLs resemble a predatory bird’s stretched wingspan. While there is no actual belly pan, there are two small body panels located behind the oil cooler.

The tail section appears to have been lifted directly from the Panigale V4, as do the two air vents on either side. The Streetfighter V4 also gets two large plane wings on either side of the motorcycle. These were developed in collaboration with Ducati Corse, the brand’s racing division, and claim to produce 28kg of downforce at 270kmph, assisting in keeping the front wheel planted on the road at high speeds and improving braking stability.

Powerful performance Ducati streetfighter V4

The Ducati Streetfighter is powered by the same 90-degree V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine find in the Panigale V4. In the Streetfighter, the engine produces a whopping 211PS of power and 123 Nm of peak torque. Because this is a naked street bike the engine has been better for on-road performance. As a result, the Streetfighter has a much stronger midrange and a shorter final drive ratio. At 100kmph in third gear, there is 14% more torque available than on the Panigale V4.
