We all have to deal with stress at some point in our lives. Some people sadly deal with unprecedented amounts of stress on a daily basis, while others may be unexpectedly hit with a stressful incident that knocks them for six.

Often, people have no chance to prepare for a sudden episode of fear, worry, tension, anxiety or grief. It hits them where it hurts and consumes their every waking moment.

Stress can spiral out of control, bringing with it mental and physical ill health and an overwhelming feeling of sadness and angst.

Does meditation really help?

I’m going to be straight with you here! I used to be someone that believed meditation was something that only deep-spiritual people practised.
