Will the new sites of the Verse are going to be the new hype, like websites were for the internet?

The year 2021 that suffered from post-covid-19 also brought with it a refreshing hype and paved the way for the mainstream and a perceptual change about virtual worlds.

While virtual worlds have been with us for a long time ago, announcements from organizations like Facebook (which recently changed its name to META) about its astronomical investments in virtual reality and the presentation of their METAVERSE for mainstream use. The term METAVERSE will probably remain familiar to users forever but it was coined about two decades ago if not more, in addition, films like The Matrix and Avatar breathed life into the term and created a hasty glimpse into the future we experience today.

Is WEB 3.0 a technology is a change of consciousness?

From a purely historical perspective, it seems that every technology in its early stages is taking heavy steps in order to build a marketing image for itself in the market and prove its impact (if any) and gain a believing audience that will spread the gospel.

I argue that WEB 3.0 is not a technology in itself but it was created by the very existence of many technologies that enabled the transition from WEB 2.0 to 3.0.

Among the leading technologies supported by the WEB, platforms can be found in artificial intelligence, machine learning\ deep learning, and decentralization. The latter has become synonymous with blockchain and has allowed for the cracking of bureaucracy (not necessarily in the financial field) and it becomes the symbol of the revolution. Leads radical moves that free the mainstream from the power of a state or those in power and enable activities that until about 5–10 years ago were not possible. Thus for example a young boy can turn overnight into a millionaire who holds a collection of artifacts registered in his name without going to auctions or even getting to know a piece of art history.

Virtual reality technology, which has been around for over 30 years, has gained significant awareness among the general public since about 2014, the reasons for this are many but the main one is the accessibility to the purchase of virtual reality glasses (HMD) devices and content.. The flooding of the market with HMDs with the marketing assistance of giant companies such as Meta, Google, and Microsoft, Nvidia, and others offers technical support to change the perception of the WEB and its increased communication capabilities.

The device serves as the key to an unlimited virtual world in which entities exist and have a representation of an avatar that creates communication and maintains a separate economic system from the real world (usually). The perception of self-presence of different generations has changed, if Generation Y oscillated between a real-world and exposed to the virtual and exist most of its life in the real world when the virtual world creates “noise” and distractions then Generation Z and Alpha especially see most of their lives online and the real world produces The “noise”. This is why living in the virtual world takes on greater meaning than in the real world. For further discussion, we can insist on the substantial harm to intergenerational communication but that is only to provoke the discussion.

The focus of the discussion is the future of our presence as human beings and the business presence of the various businesses and firms in the real world versus the virtual. The argument on the table regarding WEB 3.0 that brought about a perceptual change is that a perceptual change will inevitably also be required of the business organizations that will be required to build for themselves a representation in the world of the metaverse where their customers are and not where they are today. To this day, after everyone has realized that a representative and respectful website will bring them customers and also Google promotion will bring them leads, then the future foresees a fundamental change and the opening of a new economy. And here it is argued that there will be a massive transition from WEBSITE to VERSITE. Any organization of any kind will be required to find for itself the presence in the Metaverse. Under the new rules of the format, the ‘Domain’ is equivalent to a virtual land in one of the existing VERSES. As of this writing, there is not enough information to determine how the SEO array will take place in metaverse as well as many additional questions and rules that will answer over time.

As proof of this, by the end of 2021, virtual lands — VERSITES (which are the new WEBSITES of the virtual world) were purchased by dozens of large and well-known companies. If that was not enough even some celebrities bought land and reinforced the claim that an image on the net as it was in the past ‘WEBSITE’ will henceforth be called ‘VERSITE’ and will be based on experience and not just on the external image. As mentioned in WEB 3.0 there is not only interaction but a real experience as if it were in the real world.

The new ‘VERSITES’- the near future will need to provide a high stimulus threshold for users as they will have to capture the hearts of the many users who have (and will be even more) in diverse experiences that will include games, contests, and added value of any kind not only sales or online existent.

‘VERSITE’ has not yet set new rules of the game and it is a one-time historic time to offer a new language that will speak to the audience and new users of the new platforms offered by WEB 3.0 given the new generation language and the values that lead it.
