IronX CSR Programme — World Sambo Championships 2018 with Fouad Kanaan

IronX shares the importance of corporate social responsibility and as a result it is commencing its ambitious CSR programme to help improve the well being of people and communities.

The Trip to the World Sambo Championships 2018

As its first CSR project in public, IronX sponsored a Cypriot athlete Fouad Kanaan (38) at the World Sambo Championships 2018. The event was held in Bucharest, Romania from 9th to 11th of November. The top-class competition of sambo attracted this martial arts genre masters from over 70 countries worldwide. The decision of IronX to sponsor the Cypriot veteran athlete is not surprising, given the fact that both itself and IronFX, one of the co-founders of the IronX project, are based in Cyprus, while IronFX has been widely recognised for its CSR sports commitment for several years.

Fouad Kanaan About the Competition.

The success story of Kanaan commenced in Cyprus but soon moved into the international arena. Taking on the journey to Bucharest, Kanaan told to IronX team as follows: “This is the biggest achievement in my life as an athlete. I worked extremely hard every day to get the ticket to the World Sambo Championships. Eventually, it took years to achieve my goal. I am no longer young as an athlete, but what matters is that I never gave up and never lost confidence in myself”. IronX had a precious opportunity to support Kanaan at the 3-days tournament in Romania, even though his hard-fought matches did not bring about glory to the team. The Cypriot athlete surely left inspiring impacts at the global stage.
