Our first artist announcement
We are excited to announce the first artists to join Opus: Bryce Savoy, Deerskin, and Tomer George Cohen! You will be able to immerse yourself in their music on Opus as soon as we launch.
Our first artist is Bryce Savoy, a rapper from Oakland, California, who currently resides in Los Angeles. His music is spreading the message of empowerment and showing that each person’s destiny is in their own hands, regardless of the environment they find themselves in.
Having grown up in East Oakland, Bryce often turned to education, sports, and music to avoid drugs, crime, and poverty. After graduating from university, he joined a Spanish-Immersion program where he had the opportunity to learn more about different cultures. In September of 2015, Bryce received a different kind of education. He read the Bible, started attending church services, and giving back to the community by working at a school and recording music.
In early 2016, Bryce found his true calling. He started the Black Neighborhood with his brothers, and together they work towards a better society, where everyone is treated equally regardless of their background. Months of charitable work, including grocery giveaways, free movie screenings, and a youth empowerment program, Bryce found his purpose, and continues trying to better himself as a person every day.
An honest man, Bryce is aware of his flaws, and his determination to better himself is truly inspiring. He believes that knowing what you can and cannot do, and believing in yourself and in God, allows you to achieve true happiness and success.
His music reflects his experiences and his beliefs. He skillfully merges unforgettable beats with powerful lyrics, and listening to his songs makes one feel instantly motivated to make the world a better place. We are very excited to be able to work with Bryce, and to share his music on the Opus platform. Until then, you can follow him on Instagram, Soundcloud, or you can check out his website here.
Our next artist is Deerskin. His music will transport you to another dimension where styles, genres, the past, and the future are all mixed together to create a tribal spirit with hypnotic melodies and hard-hitting basslines.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 25 years ago, his real name is Paul Erskine. He is skilled with a guitar, hand drums, and in the choir, allowing him to create his own, unique style that is a combination of rhythmic hip hop, modern down tempo EDM, and the psychedelic elements of dub, glitch, and trap.
Deerskin knows how to energize the crowd, and he uses this energy to make his shows an unforgettable experience. He combines artistic live MIDI shows with select DJing to create an atmosphere of sonic euphoria which cannot be found anywhere but at a Deerskin show. Deerskin skillfully adapts his music to the everchanging electronic music scene and manages to keep fans excited and the parties crazy.
In the Spring of 2018, Deerskin is embarking on his national tour, “The Alignment Tour,” where his fans will have the opportunity to get immersed in his music.
Tomer George Cohen
Our final artist in this announcement is Tomer George Cohen, an artist who is truly passionate about his work. For Tomer, music is magical, and by combining styles from different parts of the world and different cultures, he sees it as a way of bringing people from all walks of life together. His aim is to spread his message and tell his story.
Tomer is 42 years old and based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Music has always been a huge part of his life. He is very talented in the art of composing, writing for bands, and playing woodwind instruments. Six years ago, on a mission to spread positive energy, he started the “George And The Good Vibes” project by playing in various clubs in the Tel Aviv area. He released an album titled “George And The Good Vibes” in December, 2012, and currently his band counts 16 members.
When Tomer is not busy lifting people’s spirits with his upbeat songs, he is trying to make the world a better place by teaching and writing. He is very popular among his 25 students, and he has just published “Songs, Pieces, and Exercises for Alto Saxophone,” teaching musicians how to play the saxophone.
Look out for future announcements
Bryce, Deerskin, and Tomer are just the first three artists of many to join Opus. We will be announcing more artists very soon, so make sure to look out for any updates.
