If people only knew the meaning of the artworks, they would see them differently…

From May 25th to June 8th, live an experience reminiscent of open-air museum by exploring urban art and murals in Montreal with Swipecity!

Mural painting is as old as humanity. From Prehistory to Antiquity, from the Middle Ages to the Industrial Revolution, humans have always painted on walls for various reasons : religious, esthetic or even mercantile.

Whether you are an amateur, a connoisseur, or simply curious about the art form, you will be blown away by the artworks of local artists like Benny Wilding, Hsix, Monosourcil… and of international acts like D*Face (from England), Inti (from Chile), or even Seth (from France)…Their work not only makes art accessible to all, but it also enhances the cultural landscape of a city, all the while helping people discover said city from a new perspective.

This first mural tour on Swipecity, comprised of 14 murals, will make you learn more about the artists and their work through their biography, anecdotes and open-ended questions.

This is the only opportunity to rediscover the murals of Montreal because many of them will be repainted during the Mural Festival which will take place from June 7 to 17, 2018.
