However, there is promising potential on the horizon as projections suggest that crypto users could reach a significant milestone of 1 billion by the year 2030. The surge in verified smart contracts throughout 2023 signifies a robust influx of innovative products in the pipeline. Notably, 2021 witnessed an unprecedented surge in developer interest, with a remarkable 65% of over 34,000 developers launching their careers in recent times. This trend is expected to gain exponential momentum in the years to come, further shaping the dynamic landscape of the crypto industry.
What Is MunichX?
Enter MunichX, a joint initiative of Moonrock Capital and TUM Web3 Research Lab. Moonrock Capital, a seasoned player in the Web3 domain since 2019, with a portfolio of over 100 companies and a proven track record in strategic planning, token economics, and fundraising, is committed to nurturing Web3 talents. Partnering with TUM Web3 Research Lab, a powerhouse of blockchain researchers, teachers, and advisors, MunichX brings together the best of academia and industry.

- Accelerate Web3 Adoption: Through the creation of a community of passionate entrepreneurs, we’re ensuring that Germany, and Munich in particular, remain at the forefront of the Web3 industry.
- Create a Web3 Hub: MunichX provides a dedicated space for young Web3 visionaries to cultivate their entrepreneurial skills, access expert guidance, and build the foundations of their startups.
- Retain Local Talent: Instead of seeking opportunities elsewhere, MunichX aims to retain the city’s brightest minds by providing them with an environment that supports their ambitions and provides ample opportunities for growth.

- Onboarding & Education: Founders enter an immersive learning phase to enrich their knowledge base.
- Mentoring: An intensive mentorship phase refines business models, token economics, product-market fit, go-to-market and overall strategy.
- Network Access: After our mentoring phase we offer unparalleled networking opportunities.
- Pitching Day: A dedicated day for in-person workshops and refining pitches.
- Start Fundraising: The final push towards fundraising success.
