What is EPITOPE MAPPING?

Epitope mapping refers to identifying the binding site (epitope) of an antibody to a target antigen. It provides information on the specific amino acid sequence to which an antibody binds. It is an essential element in the development of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

GeneOn Biotech provides the world’s best Epitope mapping service based on ‘Antigen-customized Peptide Array’.

While other companies’ epitope mapping services use 5,500–20,000 peptides, GeneOn Biotech’s peptide array uses 180,000 peptides, providing more accurate and broader research results. Jinon Biotech’s Epitope mapping service can check data with high resolution that cannot be checked with Epitope mapping services using other products.

Other common peptide arrays only implemented linear form, it was difficult to confirm the binding of antibodies with conformational epitopes. However, because our 180,000 Peptide array has a tertiary structure as shown below, antigens with discontinuous epitopes can be identified.

Overview of EPITOPE MAPPING research services

Sample-Peptide Interaction confirmed through peptide array experiment
Epitope confirmation by selecting top-ranked interactions based on intensity score. Check the 3D Structure/conformational form of the selected Epitope (Optional) If an Antigen is presented, perform Sequence comparison between the Antigen and the peptides confirmed by experiment.

WORLD-BEST PEPTIDE ARRAY

Gene On Peptide array: < 180,000 peptides of < 15-aminoacids

Jinon Biotech provides world-class Peptidearray research services.

Features and benefits of Epitope Mapping service

1. ANTIGEN CUSTOMIZED

It is difficult to clearly identify epitopes with random peptides. We manufacture customized peptide arrays with sequences of target antigens.

2. Include all cases
Includes all possible Peptide Epitopes that an Antigen can have. Includes linear form of numbers in all cases

3. 180,000 Spots
The manufactured microarray contains all mathematically possible peptide epitopes and can be seeded with up to 180,000 spots.
