Recently we mentioned some new features we’re building into the ClearPoll Network. The most significant new feature, which will be ready for launch in August, is ClearPoll Ratings.
ClearPoll Ratings allows anyone to create a simple ratings bar for embedding on their website. That may not sound like anything too groundbreaking at first — however given that the ratings bars are using the ClearPoll Network just like polls do, it makes them fully decentralised and free of bot ratings or multiple ratings. To rate a product or article using ClearPoll Ratings, users must be logged in to ClearPoll (desktop or mobile). Once logged in, they can rate in just one click without being registered on each particular website.
ClearPoll Ratings bars will be easy to embed on any website. The website owner will create a special type of poll within the ClearPoll app, grab the code and insert it into the ratings widget. This will instantly create a unique ratings bar that nobody can tamper with. No need to add poll options such as 1 through 10 — it all happens automatically.
Ratings on the ClearPoll Network also means full access to advanced metrics on the users who rate — using ClearPoll Plus, just like you would with a poll. Age, gender, location, interests and more. Great insights into exactly who has rated your article.
Best of all, it’s a completely free feature to create or use. This will greatly assist in the mainstream adoption of ClearPoll not only as a polling network, but now as a high quality decentralised ratings service too.
