안녕하세요 한국! (Hello Korea!) My name is Masato Kagiwada and I’m the lead UX/UI Designer at DRVR. I will be representing DRVR at the K startup challenge and I’m going to be covering my experiences here.

DRVR are selected as final 80 teams out of 1,700 by K-Startup Grand Challenge which was launched in 2016 by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and funded by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of South Korea. The program is based in the Pangyo Techno Valley, known as the Korean Silicon Valley. We landed Seoul in mid-August and will stay here for the next 3.5 month We will experience several things such as networking, mentoring, and a demo day!

Orientation Day

Korea is one of the most developed countries in the world and there are lots of amazing Korean cultures which enhances not only to attract many people from across the world but also tech innovation. We’re very welcome to connect with companies/individuals and looking forward to collaborating with them!

Startup Campus in the Pangyo Techno Valley

At the orientation day(Day-1), I joined a network session and met a lot of great startups from across the world; Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Tunisia… All of them were eager to establish and grow up a business in Korea! I was so happy to join this awesome startup community.

Korean language class :)

The other day, I joined a program called OASIS (Overall Assistance for Startup Immigration System). This program includes a bunch of essential topics like Visa, Korean immigration system, IP (intellectual property), etc.

And of course, Korean language! I also joined a language class and learned basics like the Korean alphabet (Hangul). To enjoy the Korean life, this is mandatory :)

We are looking for partners and customers. You can contact me masato@drvr.co if you would like to talk about how we can work together.

DRVR released our fleet management platform for automotive OEMs and logistics companies in 2016 and we are delighted to help over 25 customers from across Southeast Asia. DRVR is helping companies to manage their fleets in order to prevent unexpected accidents and optimize their operational cost
