STOVETOP: Place in a saucepan, and heat on medium heat for 4–5 minutes, stirring frequently.

SWEET AND SOUR PORK RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 1lb Pork Fillet (cut to1- inch chunks)
- 3 Tablespoons Vegetable oil
FOR THE MARINADE
- 1 Tablespoon Light Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoon Rice Wine
- 1 Garlic Clove (shredded)
- 1-inch Ginger (shredded)
FOR THE COATING
- 1/4 Cup Cornflour
- 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Ground White Pepper
- 2 Tablespoon Celery Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Superfine Sugar
FOR THE BATTER
- 1/2 Cup Rice flour
- 1/2 Cup Cornflour
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 200ml Water
FOR THE SAUCE
- 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves (finely chopped)
- 1-inch piece Ginger (finely chopped)
- 1 Green Bell Pepper (roughly chopped)
- 1 Red Bell Pepper (roughly chopped)
- 1 Onion (roughly chopped)
- 2 Tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
- 4 Tablespoon Rice Wine Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Light Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Soft Brown Sugar
- 1 Can Pineapple Chunks
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, add the pork, and allow it to sit for 15–30 minutes, or overnight.
2. In a separate bowl, mix all the coating ingredients. Add the marinated pork (using a slotted spoon to drain any excess liquid) and toss in the seasoned coating until well-coated.
3. Next, to make the batter, mix the rice flour, cornflour, and baking powder together, add 200ml water, and whisk to form a smooth paste.
4. Heat the oil in a wok or large saucepan. Dip the marinated pork in the batter mix, (cook in batches if necessary) and gently place in the wok, cook for 5–6 mins until golden.
5. To make the sauce, heat the oil in a shallow saucepan and gently fry the garlic, ginger, peppers, and onion, for 3–4 minutes until just starting to soften.
6. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the sesame seeds, and bring to a boil, cook for a further 2–3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
7. Coat the crispy fried pork in the sauce, and serve with rice or noodles, sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
